To place an order, the best way to get all the details correct is to give us a phone call at (541) 389-3980. We can also be reached by mail at Nomadics Tipi Makers, 17671 Snow Creek Road, Bend, OR 97701. Faxes can be sent to 541-389-3980. We enjoy the personal connection with each person and can always answer any questions you might have.

Although we occasionally have a waiting list, we usually ship unpainted tipi orders within 10 days. Painted tipis may take four to six weeks to be shipped, depending on when you order. Our busiest months are March - June. To avoid a wait, order as soon as you can! This helps us out, too. We ask that you send at least 50% of the total cost of your order as a deposit. To speed up your order, please give us your credit card information (we accept VISA and MASTERCARD) or pay by cashiers check or money order. ALL personal checks take two weeks to clear. We will send your tipi C.O.D. for any remaining balance due on your order, plus the cost to ship it to you.

Note: Personal checks cannot be accepted on C.O.D. deliveries. If you are in a hurry and are sending your payment via next day courier service, please use only Federal Express or U.P.S. Do not use the U.S. Postal Service.

Whenever possible, we ship via UPS within the United States and Canada. (Please! Be available to receive your packages when they arrive - you will be charged for the shipping if packages are returned to us as undeliverable). International orders ship UPS to Seattle and airfreight to your closest international airport. Please be aware that you will need to pay import duties and sales taxes to your local authorities when you pick up your packages at the airport. All orders must be paid in full before we ship.

We invite all our international customers to e-mail us. Our e-mail is not right in the shop, so sometimes it might take a little for us to get back to you with an answer when you inquire via e-mail. Nicole speaks fluent English, German and Spanish as well as some French, Portuguese and Italian. Our e-mail is: Nomadics@tipi.com. For immediate assistance, please call the shop at 1-541.389.3980, Mo-Fri 9.00am - 4.00pm Pacific Coast Time. All customer from the USA, please do not e-mail us if you can call instead. It is more efficient, more personal and you get your answers much quicker. Thank you.

With all of our full size tipis purchased for the USA, we include the gift of a traditional "Smudge Stick". For international orders, we do not add it to your package, in order to avoid any difficulties with importing plant material. Traditional Native American smudge sticks are made with white sage and sweet grass. The smudge stick is burned as a ritual gesture to insure that peace and good fortune dominate the space of your tipi. The different tipi tribes of the Great Plains have their own cultural belief systems about the smudge stick ritual, but in general it is used to purify one's self or one's space. With ritual gestures it is offered to the four cardinal directions and to the Great Spirit. The rising smoke helps connect the lodge owner to their Spirit Helpers and Power Animals and carries this intention to the Sky World above where the Spirit Beings and the Ancestors live.

Below are all the prices for each size of tipi. The most commonly ordered size, our 18ft., is highlighted for your convenience. To choose the artwork for your tipi cover, liner and door, please go to the Hand Painted Artwork section or see the Artwork Pricelist below. * We encourage you to do the final smoothing and weatherization of your tipi poles yourself. The process is not difficult or overly time consuming and you will have years of satisfaction, looking up at your tipi poles and knowing that you participated in their beauty and longevity. An electric sander or planer is all that you need to do the final smoothing of the already hand peeled surface. After smoothing, thoroughly coat your finished pole with a good quality wood penetrant / preservative.

If you do choose to purchase your poles already "sanded and oiled", BE AWARE THAT they may arrive with scrapes and scars from the shipping process. In this case, you may need to do some re-do touch-up work on the poles. The freight company WILL NOT compensate you in any way for surface damage to a pole. They will only replace broken or lost poles.

Shipping cost on tipi poles have gone up considerably. Please call us for a quote to your zip-code. Poles are always shipped by motor freight and usually take 7 to 21 days for delivery. Tipi Poles and all freight must be prepaid.
